    Default battery drain plug – 21-07-2007,06:33 PM
    Help. I've had the usual water ingress problem with the pollen filter housing and have managed to find the drain plug under the battery and battery plate and air con hoses. After 30 minutes of swearing and cut and battered hands managed to unblock the hole. Someone please tell me there is an easier way. Or do i have to take the wipers, off then the plastic cover then the battery out. Even then i cannot see the hole? What would happen if i removed the rubber bung and left a great big hole instead?

    Crap design, remove bung completely, nothing adverse will happen except not getting blocked and allowing water to drain.....

    Thanks for the reassurance of removing the plug completely. Shall remove at the weekend.

    I've read posts on people removing from underneath the car - you may (or may not) want to try that way.
