Hi all, Can anyone help with my new problem please,, The Radio works fine But when i try & turn the volume down it blasts your head off, It`s the Audi radio from the factory, we are both in our 50s but it sometimes sounds like two 18 year olds driving past with music blasting, Thanks

Which radio is it? I've heard of problems with the early Concert systems where they develop a fault which makes the volume either min or max.

It's apparantly because when you turn the radio off, it stores the last used volume in a memory chip, but the way it works is to re-write the volume every time you adjust it, and the chip can only take 100,000 writes.

There are a few threads on this forum about the problem. I think that BBA reman can replace the memory with one that won't do the same.

Thanks Nick, The concert radio is in our W reg 2000 A3, The only thing wrong seems to be the volume switch. At the min it`s not to bad but if i try & turn the switch left or right it will go to low or blast your head off, Thanks again Pete
