Just picked up my quattro SE and it comes with "normal" headlights. Can you fit the xenon units directly or is there way more than that to it?

    Simpler to go HID?

If you want a proper job you need, off the top of my head

    - Bi-Xenon units
    - HID ballasts
    - levelling harness
    - washers
    - new front bumper

    = big cost

I've been looking into this too, although I'm pretty sure it can be done without changin the bumper ?

Also they will need vag-com coding once fitted.

But it is expensive, The two headlamps with bulbs and ballasts are I think around £750.

Instead I decided to mess around with the halogen ones, I've got one in bits in my garage right now. At first I wanted to fit uprated DRL bulbs (PH24Y), but now im fiddling with some LED strips and resistors.

I'll post some pics if I ever get it finished.

If the headlamps are expensive then buy mine! HEADLAMPS ONLY! But Adaptive UK 2010 spec Bi-Xenon. I am getting seriously peed-off tripping over the damn things.

    .
You won't need to change the bumper if they have headlamp washers - washers are a legal requirement with xenon lights, so you'll need new bumpers if the existing ones don't have washers.
