trying to do a reset on an 2007 a6 2.0tdi but will not let me save the min,max mileage channels. they are stuck on a value of 50(meaning 5000mile) but dont know why because it should be on flexible service values. Im trying to enter the recomended min/max values but will not take them and keep defaulting to 50. i have also tried using the sri reset tool but gives the error message unable to save to channel 42+43.

Ive never had this trouble before on any other audi fixed or flexible service reset.

looking forward to a simple fix, thanx

try 17 adaptation 10 channel 2 set to 1 then save then set to 0 and save cycle ignition and recheck channels

    42&43

    Minimum mileage limit
    100 km

For Audi A8 (4E), A3 (8P), A6 (4F), A4 (8EC and 8ED) and all models from MY 2006 the mileage limits are given in multiples of 100 km.

The values in channels 40, 41, 46, 47 and 48 are deleted at the beginning of the service interval and increase continuously during a service interval. All other values (42, 43, 44, 45, 49) are fixed values.

Vehicles with Longlife Service from the launch of A8 (4E), A6 (4F), A4 (8EC and 8ED), A3 (8P) and all models from MY 2006 must be set to oil quality 2. This applies irrespective of the engine. (CHANNEL 45)
vag diagnostics, retrofits and general repairs
