    hi , can anyone tell me if a 18" alloy with 225x40x18 will fit in spare wheel well on 02 golf gt tdi

    Yeah, it will go in but your boot liner might not drop all the way back down as they are about 30mm wider than your standard wheels.

    It will only be an eyesore if you look in the boot a lot, It may even be ok have a look and see how much clearance is there like i said in the previous post the 225 tyre is about 30mm or 1 1/4"wider than the standard 195.

    cheers steve , i think i'll give it a miss as i'm in and out of boot loads and i don't want to have something rolling around in boot if its not a flat surface , footwell on r32 must be slightly bigger eh
