    Default Radiator Fan – 28-09-2011,12:05 PM
    I have a 2007 Passat Sport TDI 170 and in the last few days the radiator fan has been kicking in whilst its started. This seems to be happening even the car is not even fully warmed up. I take it this is not normal and shouldn't be happening.

    I've not even noticed the fan being on in the last 1.5 years of owning the car. Also I have the air con permanently on if this makes any difference.

    The water temperature goes up as normal and doesn't go higher or lower than half once the car has fully warmed up.

    Any advice would be much appreciated.

    Try turning the air con off. The fan will probably stop then.

    But the air con has always been on and i've not noticed the fan being on before. However I will test this and see if the radiator fan switches off.

    It runs auto when the air is on mate.
