Yes it is some flap on the throttle motor on the front of the engine, car should be done tomorrow and I'll be £391 lighter.

Diesel engines don't have a throttle or a throttle motor which is why a proper code read helps. Make sure the dealer checks the fuses. The antishudder valve often jams and blows the fuse. If the fuse blows, your radiator fans won't work.

I'd check em all, the manual is wrong in saying which fuse serves which circuit anyway, just do em one at a time and don't forget which slot you pulled it from, there are fuses on both sides of the dash, and some more larger ones near the air filter and battery.

Hi,

I guess you got your car fixed in the end, can you let me know what the exact problem was?
My 58 plate CR 140TDi is due into the local VW dealer with the exact same issue aas your car had.
When the the car gave out the warning ping along with the "Engine fault - Workshop" message, my glow plug warning light also flashes.
Fingers crossed mine will be covered on the Das Auto used car warranty!

The car was fixed it was some flap motor in the engine part no 03L128063E the job cost £391.31 in total

All I see is a shinney ally box about 2x3 inches in size with an electrical connector off it at the front of the engine bay on the black plastic pipework that cost the best part of £400 quid

I have the same problem with my 58 plate Audi A4 TDI. Recovery guy diagnosed P2102 and reset the code, which cleared it for a day before reappearing. But now appears and disappears intermittently over the last 3 weeks, normally appearing if the car has not been driven for a couple of days. With Audi on Friday for their opinion.
