    Hi,

I have just purchased an OBD Port kit with VCDS Lite software, the only problem is it doesn't really let you do much does it?
Does anyone have, or know where i can get a cheap copy of the VAG-COM Software? if not, how much is a proper copy and where is the best/cheapest place to buy it?

I have a few minor problems i want to locate (Fuel Gauge not working properly, and want to reset 2 service lights) so i don't really want to spend £100 on software if an Audi Dealer will do that work for a lot Less.

    Sam.

The software is free on the rosstech site however the licence to use it is built into the genuine rosstech cables which are around 240quid to buy. The lite version can be upgraded i believe for around 100quid and would be the worthwile option because over time all these 10 or 20quid payments to others to do simple jobs will add up.

if you dont want iether of these then ask for a member near you to do the work

www.ross-tech.com, you should be able to purchase a License for your VCDS lite software & it is $99 ( so think that works out to about £60) they have a comparison chart on their site to show what the £200+ cable does compared to the $99 VCDS lite & also against the main dealer tool which cost about 5K
