I just got a letter from the local dealer saying that my car was down for a recall to check for a faulty coil pack. They would be replaced free of charge.

Has anyone else had the same letter?

Iv recently bought a 56 plate A4 2.0t fsi. Bought from a dealer(independent). Since ive had it which is just over 3 weeks ive had management light issues which up to now has not been resolved. Latest decision by dealer was to book car into audi dealership to get to the bottom of the problem. Now while he was talking to guys at Audi he discovered that there is an outstanding recall on the car or enhancement as its not considered dangerous. So car goes in on Tuesday for coil replacements. This wont solve the cars original prob with eml light though

I called Audi yesterday to check if my car needed any work doing (recall's), but the chap took my reg and said no.

Having read through a few topics, am I best getting it booked in for a full check or shall I just accept it doesn't need anything doing by them based on his registration check?

The only reason i found out that there was an outstanding recall on my car was through Audi checking with my reg and chassis number. The recall on my car has been outstanding for twelve months. It maybe the case mate that your car is all up to date. My only worry now is that there are non Audi coils in my car. If thats the case Audi wont touch it.
