I have had problems with my radio reception for sometime now and it is only getting worse. Radio 1 is hissy at best and sometimes it doesn't even show it on the radio screen, and i only have 2 or 3 stations available. Anyone had this problem or know of any quick checks??? Thanks

Saloon? Avant? Cabrio? Was RNSE factory fitted? Or a retro-fit?

Could be a problem with the antenna or the cabling to it, Have a VCDS fault scan done to point you in the right direction.

I am not sure how the aerial is wired on the Audi but on my old BMW which also had the aerial built into the rear window there was a separate aerial amplifier near the window. A few people had the same problem you were having and it was often caused by a broken power cable to the amp or the connector becoming disconnected.

Check the connections on the rear window antenna (side windows in the avant contain the aerials). A VCDS fault code scan is worthwhile before you start pulling the car apart. Could be a faulty antenna amplifier amongst other things.
