So I remember reading a post but I can't find it now, Audi put this blue tooth module inside an electronics box under a seat? But on a UK Right hand drive car is this under the drivers or passenger seat?

If I don't have vcds and want to know for sure that I don't have this fitted before buying and retrofitting, where should I start looking?

    Thanks

    Paul

search bluetooth with your phone when sat in the car, also it will be phone preparation so there will be a base plate in the centre arm rest or mounted on the dash next to the radio

or lift the passenger seat and carpet look for a black plastic box and open it

    Hi

well you may well have a problem that can not be resolved

looking here http://microsites.audi.com/ngw_asset..._UK/index.html it shows the phone is not supported

and as there is no sim card reader with mmi 2g high then you can not upload the contacts to a sim card and transfer

so you can either manually transfer the contacts or try using the sim card in another older phone and see if you can save them that way.

as for the connection then your dropping out on bluetooth or gsm which is unavoidable if not fully compatible

whilst the phone is bonded then you use the phone via the speech dialogue system or multi function steering wheel or via mmi controls

If you have rsap then bond via rsap and move the phone contacts to the sim

If you have handsfree profile then move the contacts to the phone and again try to transfer your contacts

    Hi,

Will have to live with the phone dropping out every now, and then due to not been fully bonded, but thanks for advice on transferring sim to older phone, and then connecting to load phone book that worked a treat, and then back to my phone, and still all down loaded, so can now call from car system all my contacts. Your a star!
One more thing from what you said regarding manual transfer, which is how can i transfer individual contacts from my phone if i add any more later, without having to change sim to an older phone again.

    Thanks again for advice.

its easiest to repeat this process again but just try adding a new contact and next time you use the vehicle allow 10 mins or so then scroll through to see if its added the new contact

would be interesting to see it now adds the contact
