How do I know if my car is b6 or b7?

My car is A4 2005 Convertible reg 03/2005, I spoke to Audi some weeks back and they told me it was a B7 but wanted some more opinion on this Q.

Still not very clear as there are some cars that are 2005 and they are B6.
I already have this link from searching the net but I want to know if there is something in my car that will say my car is def a B6 or B7

Don't all B7 A4s have the single piece grille surround? And anything earlier having the 2 piece one?

Looking at your retrofit photos in your album Yemiboy- you have the b6 cab

b7 cabs will have the trapezoid on the steering wheel like this

as said above the B7 grille is in 1 section unlike the B6 which is split... and also the tale lights on the B7 are in 2 section.. 1 part is on the actual boot lid unlike the B6...

Looking at the white one Rapid posted it seems mine is a late B6 or early B7 but when I called Audi they told me my car is B7 but my grill is split

Somewhere within your chassis number you should see 8E or 8H = B6

8HE = B7 Cab

i agree it a b6 for sure , headlights are different to .
