Hi everyone.
Just finished reading this, and there are some very informative and useful tips here.
I`m from Norway, and i also suffer from this juddering problem.
Remove fuse number 12 did not work for me.
Havent tried the wire cutting yet.

That looks like a completely different problem, the shudder judder problem occurs under load

Ok, but i also have this problem under load, not just on idle, but maybe its not the same.
I had one trip today without any symptoms at all, parked the car, and when i started it up again, it was the same problem.
Anyway, much useful info in here :-)

Thats correct.
It is my car in the video yes.
Started doing this for about 2 weeks ago, and i have no clue what it is.

I have changed fuelfilter and air filter, and had a recent oil change on it, and i cant see any air bubbles in my fuel lines either.
I`m guessing it has to be an electrical fault.

As you can see in the video, it revs up to a certain rpm and stays there. (emergency idle?)
Also my oil lamp starts coming on, and sometimes the CEL light.

Am I right in saying that the rev counter is at zero when idle is about 850rpm sometimes
I was going to ask about oil light but you explained about it last post.
First I would check all the cables for broken insulation around the oil filter area. (Oil switch cable and speed sensor cable)
Do try to get a vcds fault code read out to see if anything shows up.
The problem seems different to the juddering/bucking that 1994 models suffer from.

The rev counter is at zero yes, but i think its more than 850 rpm, sounds more like 1200-1500 rpm to me, but im not sure.
Will try to get a mechanic to read out any fault codes, and i will check the cables.

Old thread, but i have some questions regarding taking the pump apart.

Do you have to take the whole pump apart and solder things back up again, or can you just take the top part off and clean that out?
