    Good afternoom fellow judderers!!

Im the proud owner of a 92 Tdi Avant. At only 98k

The car has this prob, the one that you all seem to have as well!! There is a sensor at the top of one of the injectors, if you follow the cable it goes to a brown plug near the bulkhead. I unplugged this while the car was running and the engine cutout. Now it wont start at all so i cant try this 'fuse 12' or the VSS trick.

Anyone know why it wont start anymore??

    Cheers for your reply

however i went to a diesel specialist and he was very aware of the problem. Electrical fault was the main cause. He rpaired the fault and now the car is running the way it should be. Thanks for your input.

Please tell us exacty what you did. If this is the cure then share it with everyone. you where willing to ask for help here, so share with us what you did and what we need to do, step by step please. Are you actually going to share this information, or just tell your car is now running fine and leave?
COME ON TELL US HOW IT WAS CURED!

    gonna cost you.....

Actually it isnt a knock sensor, its the Speed Sensor. tut tut!! Apparently euro car parts do them for 25 quid, so im gonna get one asap.

All i did was have the engine running, unplug the grey plug in the middle of the bulkhead next to the fuel filter and see what happens to the running condition!! If it goes worse then its not it, if it improves then hopefully bingo!!!

hi there all you judderers I disconnected the blue wire behind the dash as mentioned in this thread i`ve done about 5,000 miles since then and have suffered no ill effects, mpg are still good 40+ no lights flashin on dash etc. the juddering has gone just a little jerkey if your rough with the accelerator.

Just thought i`d mention it incase any one was wonderin if the mod would cause long term damage but so far so good, i will post if there a problem but i cant see it happenin.

I do still have hunting on idle though sounds like a tank, if you press the accelerator slightly and raise the tickover too 1000rpm the hunting goes away its always been like this even before i cut the cable behind the dash, if you increase the tickover with vag-com the hunting is still there, strange, i was wonderin if any one has tried adjusting the smooth idle mixture on vag-com to eliminate this problem as my version wont allow me to do it. i have already checked the fuel lines and there`s no sign of air getting in and apart from this the car drives fine. any help or inspiration would be greatly appreciated,

my audi is a 1994 80 saloon with the 1z 1.9 tdi engine its done 185,000 miles now and still goes very well, sailed through last mot.
