Hi, I've been getting quite a bit of white stuff on my oil cap, and I wanna know what is causing it.

Before you say headgasket read the following..

My car isn't loosing power, a mechanic says my radiator pipes are normal (the squeezing thing), my oil colour is normal, I'm not loosing water and there isn't a problem with my oil cooler housing as thats been tested also. There is never any white stuff on the dipstick, and no oil in my coolant. My car doesn't overheat either.

What could be the problem? Is it the headgasket as I've been told several times it is and several times that it isn't.

    PS.. Golf MK4 1.6 8V 1998

    Hi
It sounds like you have water in your oil caused by condensation. When did she last have an oil change ?
