    Hi,

    I've just bought a secondhand 2007 A4 Avant 170 2.0 TDI.

I ordered a Towbar from TOWSURE and carried out the installation of the towbar, this was the most difficult one i've done. The towbar is now fully fitted and the bumper replaced.

I'm having problems with the electrics, I have the left and right indicators working, the earth is connected.

The problem im having is with the Break Light and the Side Lights as Audi uses the same bulb and the same single wire to control the side lights and the break light. Does any one know the solution to this?

Also I've not managed to locate the Fog lamp cable coming into the boot?

Any ideas would be much appreciated, looking fwd to using this forum!

    Regards

    Superfastrider

You cant just splice into the electrics with these cars, the extra bulbs screw up the system, you need a smart box to connect up,go back to your supplyer and ask them.

If you haven't already found it, there's a How To Guide which covers this:- https://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/s...ersing-sensors.

A TEB7AS relay sorts the lighting wiring problem you describe, but no doubt there are others available.
