'Clear corner mod' Query

Hi people, just recently purchased a lovely B7 1.9 Tdi S-Line.....

Money is abit tight at the moment (treating her to a full service first) So the clear corner mod is first on my list.

I've read all the guides online, pretty sure I know what I'm doing with all the tricky stuff, but will have a mechanic friend supervising just incase

The only bit i'm not 100% sure on is a really simple one.....

When I pop out the orange lens, is that it? Reseal the housing etc... and jobs a goodun? Or do I need to replace the orange lens with a clear one? Or does the bulb behind the orange lens need replacing?

If someone could clear this up that would be great!

Yes thats pretty much it, or if u want you can put a clear lens in, i didnt bother with mine, you will also need a chrome bulb that light up amber . Heres mine, i also blacked out the housing while it was open and fitted projector lenses to replace the std halogen

With regards to the chrome bulb that lights amber...If I don't do this I'm guessing I'll be left with an amber coloured bulb that would look a bit odd???

The bulb wouldnt be amber it would be a clear bulb, it would have been the amber lens cover that made the bulb light up amber.if you were to put an amber bulb in there then i make the whole clear corner mode pointless as it would still be amber looking, thats why u need a chrome bulb that lights up amber, u get the clear corner look your after and still have the legal fuctioning amber indicators.
