    Hi

I hope somebody can help me with a problem Im having with my 3C Passat 2.0 TDI Sport with 140k millage (BKP Engine).

Recently I notice the car started to stutter when the revs went over 2k revs, especially climbing a steep incline.

I was informed it was probably the EGR Valve which was clogged up, So I purchased a new one from VW and went to replace it yesterday.

I removed the flap motor and then the EGR Valve only to find the inside of the valve covered in Oil!, I also put my fingers as far as I could in the Inlet manifold and that was also thick with oil!

I cleaned the flap motor and inlet manifold as best as I could and replaced the EGR Valve with the new one. I gave the car it a little run to find it has improved a little but still stutters after 2.2k revs.

I was then concerned regarding the oil I found in the manifold and EGR valve. I hooked it up to a VAG and did a full test, only to find these results:

    5 Faults Found:

17058 - Cylinder 4 Glow Plug Circuit (Q13): Electrical Fault
    P0674 - 006 - Short to Plus - Intermittent - MIL ON

16683 - Boost Pressure Regulation: Control Range Not Reached
    P0299 - 006 - Short to Plus - Intermittent - MIL ON

16785 - EGR System: Insufficient Flow
    P0401 - 006 - Short tom Plus - Intermittent

17674 - PD Unit Injector: Cylinder 3 (N242): Implausible Signal
    P1266 - 006 - Short to Plus - Intermittent

17671 - PD Unit Injector: Cylinder 2 (N242): Implausible Signal
    P1263 - 006 - Short to Plus - Intermittent

Any Views regarding the cause of the Oil in the manifold and EGR valve and these fault codes.

    Many thx in advance

    Mark

A certain amount of oil in the manifold is normal, and nothing to worry about
17058 nr4 glow plug is defect
16683 this could come from 17674 or 17671 you need to rectify them first delete the fault codes and take it from there
16785 you probably have cured by replacing the EGR valve
17674 +17671 you can start by replacing the injector wiring harness if that does not help the injectors will need replacing and if so contact your dealer
