I prefer dark colours, so black for me. All my cars apart from my last Audi have either been black or dark grey.

I thought I'd throw in my 2p's worth. Over the years I think I've had most of the Audi solid colours on various company cars. Brilliant Black, Blue red and white. And a solid yellow RS4 for good measure! At the moment I have a Garnet red A6 Avant. A very nice colour and fairly easy to keep looking good. I used a little effort to get the cars paintwork clayed, sealed with finishkare FK1000p and then waxed it with collinite 476s. I've done that no more than three times in coming up to two years.

Black is hell on earth to keep clean, summer or winter it matters not, your car will look filthy within half an hour of using the carwash. Forget waxing it, it'll still look filthy. Everything will mark it from the lightest rain, to bugs in the summer. The car will look down at heel 99.5% of the time. As I think may have been pointed out in an earlier post it also gets very hot in summer. I won't bore you with the blue, red or yellow.

White can be a PITA to keep clean in the depths of winter. But it's nowhere near as bad as black! In the summer however it really is a cool colour. The Audi 80 I had seemed to go very flat after about six months. I'm told that modern paints don't do this.

I seem to remember reading somewhere that silver is the "best" colour for looking good even when not washed very often. I did have a company A6 Avant in silver for about a week, but then a ruddy big lorry tried mating with the Audi (whilst it was parked) End result, a somewhat SWB DIY Bent-ley estate car!

Given your limited choice I think I'd go for white. Or de-spec the car a little, and have a wider colour choice.

    Kind Regards.

    Paul.

Denim blue was good. You could wash the wheels and it made the rest of the car look clean again. Audi have ditched this colour, but ScottyUK's car is a nice colour. Just be aware that if you do go for that colour and he sees you around, he may torch your car!

Silver doesn't do it for me, there are too many of around. I get great satisfaction parking between 4 or 5 silver cars in a car park.

I nearly bought my TT in Denim Blue .... until I saw it in cloudy conditions and I went off it instantly! I went for Amulet Red instead.
Aruba seems more vivid regardless of the weather.

Oh and I'd only condider torching it if you bought exactly the same car and was my neighbour!

p.s. He's got that loaner back again ! hehehehe

    *cough cough* black *cough*.

Horses for courses. I had this same dilemma..glad it wasnt just me . I went for the black in the end...only because it takes longer to look dirty, and has that kinda "stealth" sleek look to it.

I am glad (and proud) that we have collectively been able to quickly, clearly and unequivocally help the OP with his dilemma.

Not that I'm a fan, but I think Michael Jackson possibly said it best, with: "It don't matter if you're black or white" and "I'm not going to spend my life being a colour", although the last bit might've been Macaulay Culkin, I dunno, it was all pretty dodgy anyway.
