petrol light!

Hi I have a v5 t-reg and its driving me mad . My petrol light went on when the needle had gone on to the red so i topped it up with 10 pounds petrol and the light wont go off, what do i do?

Not sure how much 10 Pounds of petrol is ?

Ive had it before when im low and topped up, it stays on as its not enough to take it out of the red, so to say.

What is 10 Pound 1/4 Tank, 1/2 Tank, etc ?

dont forget the tanks on these things are 55l, £10 will have only just touched it, if you were well into the red, youll have to put around 20/30 to move that needle.

also, be wary of running it so low mate, you drag up all the crud from the bottom of the tank when you do that, my tank never goes below half way, the diesel pump is well supplied with clean diesel.
