    Hi All,

I've got a 2004 130 TDi and the climatonic has suddenly died overnight after running perfectly. No display, no lighting, nothing. Almost seems as if an ISO connector or fuse has come adrift. I've checked the main fuse panel and all seem to ok there. The factory satnav/radio is in a double din above it and is all working as normal.

Does anyone know if there's another in-line fuse tucked away anywhere please?

    Or any other likely remedies?

Failing this, any ideas on how to remove the climatronic panel to get behind it to see if a connector has worked loose or parted? (It's really been wedged in tightly with a redundant Nokia 6310 car kit on a slide bracket between the climatronic panel and the main dash housing body so I don't want force anything).

Any help will be really appreciated.

    gallic

It comes out very easily if I remember correctly. Carefully ease out the trim around the display (it is just clipped in.) you will see 4 torx heades screws. Remove them and the unit will be free to inspect the cable's.
Do not over tighten the screws on replacement. Regards Richard

    Many thanks, Richard.
I'll give it a go this morning.
With all the recent rain, it's getting a bit steamy - for all the wrong reasons!
