B6 wheels definitely will as I run a set for my winter wheels- I know diddly squat about the B5 era A4 though so can't help there I'm afraid

Hi buddy, the B5, B6, and B7 all run a pcd of 5x112 and a centre bore of 57 or 57.1mm , so the wheels will interchange.
The only issues you need to check on will be the ET figure which determines how much the wheel sticks out of the wheel arch or tucks into the arch, the other issue to take into account is whether the 16" rim actually clears the brakes and suspension etc.
So the big answer is yes and the detail is in finding the suitable rim, they are out there so do an archive search for more info to suit your model

As a second point I would enlighten you that the B6 and B7 A4 are essentially the same car with a few cosmetic enhancements, so straight swaps.
    Good luck
