    Hi
Got a 99T 1.9Tdi 110 SE ...... Now I know from experience that most of these run at 90 Degrees....
But mind seems to be pretty consistant at 70 Degree's, sometimes a little lower..........
    Engine run's like brand new......
Never lost a drop of water......
Blows hot in the car when ever asked to........
    No apparent problems.......
Has anyone else had any experience of these running cooler than the norm ?
I must just state that I do constantly use the Air-con and usually have the climate turned right down to low...
    Any Thoughts please...
    cheers
    mcc

Either the coolant temperature sender is bad or the thermostat is stuck open.

i had a discussion about this a few months ago, mine also ran around 70 and the oil temp never over the 65/70 mark.new thermostat sorted both, temp at 90,oil 85/90.thermostat can be a bit of a pig (for a better word) keeping it in place whilst ya try to put the housing on.

All the VAG cars are engineered to have the temp gauge needle at "12 o'clock" when the temperature is normal. The needle will stay at that position over a range of temperatures, something like 80-100.
So if it is NOT at 12 o'clock then something is wrong.
