    Hey gurus,

My allroad HVAC fan is acting up a bit. The garage did some work on my car last year and stupidly re-built my A/C assembly. I've only recently noticed that the fan output (Econ mode) just doesn't blow as hard as it did before. With the A/C on it seems to reach the higher speeds. The display shows all of the little bars as solid, so it's at maximum.

I have also noticed that instead of dropping the fan speed a little when i use the windscreen washers (to prevent the smell being sucked into the cabin which it did when i bought it) it seems to speed up. Any ideas? Thanks.

    Ben0069,

Thanks for posting. Can you confirm what your allroad does when you use the washer jets with your fan on high speed? I'm convinced there's something wrong with it. A couple of people have suggested i'm crazy and as far as they're aware Audi did not build the cars that way. I'm just going to have to strip the A/C pump assembly and try to fix it. That's crappy garages for you.

I like your signature. Do you have an image of your car? What are the Bilstein's like at the rear? Does it still auto-level and did you just blank off the extra air-hose that hardens up the original Audi rear shock? Have the braided hoses and upgraded brakes made much difference? Bit disappointed with the standard brakes and went with Ferodo DS2500 pads. Want to go for braided hoses next.

It's not my allroad that does it, it is my freinds a4 avant, but if the fan is on low and you then use the wiper jets the fans goes onto max for about 3 minutes then goes back to low again. Driving from london back to wales with that going on for nearly 4 hours wasn't funny. have pm'd you regarding the rest.
