wheels for my touran help please

Hi all iv had my 04 touran for 6 months now and my tyres where advised to be changed on my M.O.T and since my touran only has steele wheels im after some alloys, iv found some that im very intersted in but not sure if they will fit.

specs of the wheel are:
17inch rims
7.5j wide with a 48ET offset
5x112 PCD
Center bore of 70.1mm

also what size tyres would i fit on them


every where i have looked have said the et should be between 35 to 45 but iv read on somewhere else that its more

If you're considering changing the wheels on your 'ran then you have a varied choice.

If you wanted to stay OEM, any wheel from the Mk5 Golf, New Audi A3, Seat Altea and New Skoda Octavia will fit.

If you want to go bigger, then you need a PCD* of 5x112 and an offset* between ET42 and ET50.




*PCD - Pitch Circle Diameter. The diameter of the circle of the stud pattern. 5x112 being 5 stud and a pattern diameter of 112mm.

Offset - basically how far the wheel sticks out from the hub with reference to the centre line of the wheel.





is this the case with an 04 ran as the wheels im after are ending soon and i need some expert advice quickly so i dont get wrong ones. many thanks marcus

Them wheels will fit your Touran 2004 (Not sure on the spigot size of 70.1mm, that is something you will have to check yourself and if yours is actually 66mm then you can use spigot rings), with 215/45R17 tyres.

To be 100% sure you need to spec what model you have and engine type and size!

Hi and thanks for the reply my touran is 04 reg 2.0 tdi 136ps i think the bore is 50 something so will need spigot rings
