I'm a definite newbie here but I have an issue as my clutch is slipping. I have the 150bhp FR 1.9TDi and I understand that the clutch slipping is a common problem, moreso if the car has been remapped! I have had a remap which puts the car at 205bhp so am reluctant to get the standard clutch fitted as I don't see why it wouldn't just slip again. I have been told I can get a Helixstage 2 clutch for £782 and get that fitted for around £250. My friend also told me that a clutch for a VW Touareg will fit on my car and that can withstand the extra torque. I have had a look online and can pick up the clutch for the Touareg 3.0TDi (225bhp) for £397 but the diameter of this is 260mm, whereas it says the diameter of the clutch for my car is 240mm. Does this mean it won't fit? Any other suggestions? I heard the possibility of an Audi TT clutch fitting? I'm beyond my depth here, so any help would be great!!!! Thanks in advance.
