Hi all,

I moved into Birmingham just over a year ago and found a great garage next my place of work. It's Selly Oak Motors on Bristol Rd, just opposite University of Bham (Bristol Rd is long).

A great independant garage which I go back to and have referred to friends. Will not rip/fob you off, the guy in charge (Matt) is very down to earth and honest. I used to take my A6 in for and he looked after it properly, and has given my new (used) A4 a proper once over as well for free (being a regular customer etc). I had a problem with my oil sump (previous garage did a botch job on it), here they sorted it out with a Heli-Coil and charged peanuts for it, same for CV Boots and CAM belt change as well. They're suprisingly very cost concious, they'll give you options and let you choose what you want to get done.

It's great for me personally as I can just drop off the during the day and walk across the road to work. I know it's difficult sometimes to find a decent independant, but I reckon I'm lucky here.
