Automatic window/ sunroof closure.

Hi guys,

Has anyone tried to use the KVW100 to enable the automatic closure or open of the passat windows/ sunroof? I got this info on this link http://www.vagproducts.co.uk/pages/p...rt/kvw1003.php.

Was the down load successfull?

I have the KVW100 from vagproducts and it installs verrrry easily (following the instructions) and functions as the maker describes.

If you keep the dongle you can easily uninstall the update if you need to.

Its very freaky to watch your sunroof and windows close as you lock the car!

hey guys sounds good how does it actually work do you have a seperate remote or just your existing one and do the windows go up and down every time you lock/unlock the car or do you hold the button down, also is it a one time use or can you use it on more than one car??

You keep your normal plip and the unit is only capable of updating one vehicle.

If you look at the video in the post above you can see that the windows can be rolled up and down.

Surely this can be acheived without paying £25 for a "One shot" reprogrammer.. Using a laptop via the OBD port there must be some software somwhere that can do that? Anyone throw any light on this??

I think this can be programmed using a VAGCOM - I'm not 100% sure - perhaps someone else can confirm this?

Not through VAG COM, but through EEPRON programming IIRC.

If you had an Audi then yes, VAG-COM would work.

Why not get yourself an autowindow module - I have one that shuts/vents/opens all my windows and illuminates the headlights etc

I like that autowindow product, but I do remember seeing information elsewhere "vwvortex?" that gave some details about directly programming the features but did not seem conclusiven as to the result...
