    As the title suggests.

I've seen the abbreviations elsewhere. Would be intrested to know what they are.

Was snooping around on fleaBay and came across this device called G-Tech. Not something I would buy unless it was dirt cheap.

Its a small device that plugs into your ciggarette lighter socket and can apparently measure and display:
    0-60 TIME
    1/4 MILE TIME AND SPEED
    CORNERING G'S
    60-0 BRAKING
    HORSEPOWER
    Some models can even display
    Torque
    1/8 and 1/4 mile runs

Would be intresting to know how they compare to Dynos (taking into account they cost a fraction of the price so no one here is expecting the same functionality.
    How accurate is it?
More importantly, I want to know how it measures it just by plugging into lighter socket. I would atleast expect it to be plugged into OBD.

Haven't used a G-Tech personally but a similar device did the rounds a couple of years ago and got quite accurate results in something like Max Power or Fast Car

G meter uses a device inside itself - I think it's gyroscopic, hence the "G" to measure. It just needs power to work I suppose.
Jason - Rather mad Skoda Fabia driver.... Odd whiff of diesel coming from him.

So in thery does that mean as long as it has a power source, I could swing it aroun whilst holding it in my hand (or launch it at a brick wall) and it will tell me how much G/Torque/Power I can generate?

    Cool

I don't think it'll be telling you much after you bounce it off a brick wall
Ex Golf GT TDi 150. Then an Evo 8. Then a Honda S2000. Now an Evo 5 (and a little pug 106)
