Polo with azq 3 cyl engine wont start

My polo wont start. Ive just replaced the timing chain, Bought the full kit from vw. Ive replaced the coil packs. still wont fire up. The engine is timed up correctly using the pins. Ive got good compression on all clyinders. Does anyone have any suggestions.

You need a fault code read and to study the measuring blocks to make sure you are getting an rpm pulse from the crank speed senor.

Will that engine fault code clear or does it keep coming back?

It keeps coming back, However ive since purchased a compression tester as i didnt think it had compression. turns out 0 on all clyinders. Think the bloke i had out ran a mile and told me it had good compression. open heart surgery. bent valves i suspect. thanks for the reply ill post once the heads off.

Is the chain still on right? They do jump on the 3-cyl 1.2s apparently, something to do with low oil pressure.

Polo now back running perfectly. Thanks too all who replied to this. Going to look For a newer vw this weekend. Does anyone have any suggestions on the most reliable cheap run about? Polo or Golf diesel?

Heard good things about the 1.4 and 1.9 TDIs, as long as they're looked after. Mass Airflow sensor and, unfortunately, the turbos, seem to be the major cause of angst on the forums.

The polo is now gone from my stable. Bought a Renault modus probably out of the frying pan and into the fire. Havent given up on Vws still got the mk4 golf tdi and a skoda octavia vrs. Mrs liked the look of the Renault. Thanks to all who replied.
