Injector Failures - Possible recall

just to update on mine 2006 2.0 tdi sport with no problems to date i was contacted by vw today and after an helpfull conversation was told that vw will change all four injectors and the loom as a goodwill gesture about 30 mins later local vw dealership rang booked it in two weeks time well pleased with vw over this matter will report back when matter has been concluded atb reddevil

Just spoken to VW customer service very helpful lady who took all my details and history of the car and said I would be contacted within 24-48 hours. So far I have not had an issue. I did ask if they had been contacted a lot this week about this and the lady confirmed they had.

You can bet your bottom dollar that VW will be making sure that Siemens shares the cost burden for all of this.

I just went to give them a ring, and realised that we'd left the phone off the charger for ages, so I'll call them this afternoon and post back how I get on.

Fat controller, I suggest you call them asap. Also get your receipt ready for a refund on the failure you have already had.

As mentioned in numerous threads mine has had no failures. Now I have 4 new injectors plus loom. It feels a lot better to drive and far smoother than before

Also FC on another note Mrs Rappy is having 4 new boots fitted Falken 912's thanks to your recommendation.

And as if by magic, vw called me back

Going in next Wednesday for the foc injector upgrade

VW phoned. Got case number. Just waiting on a call back. Passat 2.0l Tdi PD engine ~45k FSH from VW. No failure....yet.
