Engine cut out today at 70-ish in lane 3 of M6. "engine fault - garage" on display.

Restarted engine on hard shoulder but died again after a couple of seconds and wouldn't restart.

RAC did a scan - fault code 4160, but no info.

Calling VW customer service first thing in the morning.

I rang my local dealer wed 930am and asked about injector issues
He wasnt very helpfull unless i had a faulty one which i had in feburary but he was only interested if i had one now
I stressed saftey about it but he wasnt bothered
So i rang customer services at 1000am and spoke to them got a ref number and are ringing back today friday
    We will see

I tried that route and both parties were not interested. Please see my replies to this thread.

I would suggest filling out you Vosa form. You will also get a full refund for the injector you have replaced. Stress you do not feel safe in the car and worry that it will cut out again at high speed with your wife and kids present like last time.

I would suggest contacting VOSA as well.

I submitted a report to VOSA this morning, although have had no response as yet.

The car has been towed to the local dealer, who said that if it is injector failure, they will be replaced FOC.

I'm a 100% sure you have an injector failure. I would contact VW customer service and explain you have logged a report with Vosa. The dealer will replace 1 not all 4.
