Spoke to VW over my concerns, and mentioned that I had a TPI update done back in July under the advice of VW to cure what the dealer said was a poss injector issue and at that time the dealer wanted to repalce the injectors. So I'm now waiting for the 24-48hr call back from the customer services manager, the car is booked in next week for its service so it would be nice if they could so something.

I'm just about to take this up with VW France.

Consumers (customers) in France are treated as second-class citizens, so it will be interesting. If I don't get any joy I shall write direct to VW Germany.

I've filled in the VOSA online form, but when I pressed 'Submit', nothing appeared to happen, so I pressed it a couple more times. Can anyone who has filled it in successfully tell me whether I've failed to submit it, or submitted it four times, please?

To be honest, I didn't even bother with the VOSA form -I simply called VW Customer Services on the number mentioned earlier in the thread, and they were extremely helpful.

Fair enough, thanks for that. I'll give them a call tomorrow.

    Hi,

Thanks for all the information. I have BKP engine in my 2005 Passat with 75th on clock, and have just raised a case with VW CS. I stressed my safety concerns. Fingers crossed.

    Thanks for all the info.

    Regards,

    White.

Ring back today from VW CS. Car booked in for replacement next week. All four plus the loom FOC. Also booked in for it's major service and and MOT. Result as I was told I still had a free service left on my service plan, so a nice Brucey bonus.

VW Passat 2.0l Tdi PD Engine ~45K FSH from VW no injector failure but being replaced FOC.

    Cheers VW

Contacted VW customer services last Thursday and voiced my concern about safety of vehicle given the known issue with injectors (I have had no failures). They gave me a case reference and asked me to book car into dealer to have the injectors checked. I dropped off car this morning at the dealers and just received a phone call from VW cust services confirming that I have the old type injectors and these will be changed for new injectors, which will be paid for by VW.

VW customer services and the dealer were both extremely helpful and polite at all times... I am really happy and cannot wait to get my car back with nice new reliable injectors

    Many thanks to VW!!

FYI it is an 06 2.0TDI with 67000 miles with full VWSH, and I bought it when it was 3 years old.

    My own update:

-didn't get the promised call back from VW Customer Services after contacting them last Wednesday, so chased them this pm. Spoke with the chap managing my case, who said he would arrange with my local dealer to replace all 4 injectors if they were of the old type (which they must be in a 2006 car). Within the hour I got a call from the dealer to arrange for my car to go in. Since I am going on 2 weeks holiday on Friday, this will have to wait until September 20th. Without me asking they are providing a courtesy car.

Great result. Thank you VW, and thank you this Forum.

    Mike
