Injector Failures - Possible recall

I've contacted vw this morning re my 06 passat which has had no injector failures as yet

They will contact me back in 24hrs.....

Perhaps we could start a list? That way, anyone entering the last page of the thread will always know the latest?

CocoPops - 58plate 2.0 CR - 29k- No Injector Issues so far.
Rob1990 - 06 2.0 PD - ??k - Awaiting response from VW
etc

Perhaps people could quote and update the list as we go?
Would certainly help people when they have to deal with dealers/VW if they know what to expect.

hi

just got back off holiday after my passatt 05 plate broke down on me with injector issues, got it to a dealership and was expecting large bill when to my amazement they said that following a directive that had only been issued a few weeks ago all injectors had to be replaced and looms too due to "faults" so they replaced 3 injectors that matched the relevant serial numbers on the directive free of charge. but in january i also had same problem and again dealer replaced faulty injector but i was hit with bill for £788 as directive was not out then!! i am in process of contacting VW to try and see if i can get money back as it seems now to be a reconised fault so beware get them passats in and checked so you can get new injectors fitted free before you break down and are stranded.

Ok i just rang them they never got back to me 24hr then 48 hrs

read my earlier post
they asked me to scan v5 and repair invoice for march this year and are getting local dealer to ring me to book in to replace all injectors and wiring looms
Ill let you know how i get on and with refund

Had a call back from VW Winrush in slough at 1500
Car booked in on monday 5th sept do replace all injectors and wiring looms and will be 2-3 days and will give me a car
Got a call from VW Customer care at 1600 saying they will ring me a week later after fitting and will refund my £715.00 for repair in march this year but may take up to 35 days before i recieve cheque

well, just got mine back, all four injectors, washed and valeted, staff couldn't have been nicer, compared to when I went in last year and it was just "tough luck what do you want us to do " attitude, am waiting on a nice big cheque to come from VW headquarters and I'll be most happy GET THE FORM FILLED IN!!.
