which radio to upgrade to!

I am looking to upgrade my RCD 300 , what is the best option to go for, i want multi cd & mp3 playback,, not fussed about gps,, i have read about the dreaded battery drain issue, so what would i need to upgrade is it easyish to get done,, just fancy something new in the car,, its an 07 passat 2.l tdi se will my canbus need ugrading. cheers in advance

Does full iPod control, reads from any USB stick, has front AUX in, plays MP3 CDs, has outputs for a subwoofer and you can plug in a CD changer.

I used a Clarion CANBUS adapter - saved any problems I have read about and NO battery drain.

There is a thread about the eBay units which have satnav, iPod etc in them. It's a fairly big thread and its called satnav units on eBay iirc.

looks a nice unit,, is it an easy diy fit?,, the canbus thing can it be fitted easily to,,

You might find this thread and this thread which mention the ebay units; I was initially very sceptical of these, not least because of the fact they come from ebay, however I am delighted with mine.
