Does any body here work for or applied to work for G4s and had to endure the online training palava? I wasted hours of my life today that i'll not get back.

Not exactly, but my Dad did apply to be a 'gas meter reader' and it took about 3 months from interview date to get a decision that they wouldn't offer him the position. During that 3 months, they wanted all his old P60s and all other IR documents, details about absolutely everything, e.g he had to explain how he was paying his bills for the last 5 years even though he's retired & is clearly receiving a pension. I can't remember all the other hoops he had to jump through, but it was a nightmare - you could understand if it was a 5 figure salaried position he was going for, but it was a minimum wage meter reader.

If so the training is standard I did it with a window firm years ago, mundane and obvious to anyone lucky enough to have brain cell 2 active.

I had a mate who wanted me on there about 5 yrs ago, I told him I would abscond with the van but didn't fancy the time for it so declined.

Incase you have the same thought, either run it into a lead lined arctic trailer or don't bother, the tracker will get you otherwise and you will be jailbait.

Another reason was it was £9ph which at the time was decent enough, but not when you have two barrels stuck in your face, they tell you to let them have the money but sometimes Robin Hood is on a mission and mistakes you for the man.
