    Hi to everybody,

Here come the stories. I may this year I bought this Audi a6saloon 2.0 tdi 58 plate. Everything vas ok I was so happy with my car. From coupleof weeks I just hear this noise when I change from 1st gear in 2steven in 3rd. my luck was that I meat a guy who is a clutch designerand he told me that I should go on Audi dealer and ask them to change my clutch, specially that the car still has Audi warranty until 30 Sept. 2011, because isjudder. I tks to this person and next day I call Audi dealer from docklands Londoncanary wharf branch. They told me on the phone that I have to book my car foran inspection that they find out what is wrong with that clutch way it isjudder and if they will see that, it is not my way of driving then they it willchange the clutch. This sound good but the asked me to pay 128 pounds inadvanced just for inspection and if they will see that is because my driving I will lose this money and I haveto pay for the repairing. I have a few more thinks to change under the warrantybunt I do not know how I should proceed. I need to change sat nav dvd this onethat I have it is freezing most of the time and my Bluetooth it is disconnectingall time and the last one it will be my taillights I have one on the left sideit is misty since 2 weeks. Anybody was in a closer situation like me?

First of all, how many miles does your car have? If over 60,000 then the warranty will have reached its mileage limitation and become expired.

    Tell us the mileage first

Ok thanks, I was reading my Audi Extended Warranty booklet there whilst you were replying and it seems that parts of the clutch system is covered :
Clutch - Centre plate, release bearing, cable and adjuster, pedal, solenoid, switch, excluding worn parts
So you may be lucky if they find its something under which is under those categories. But if they find that its your driving style that has wore the clutch then they will probably not replace it but may offer a contribution to the repair if you have been loyal to the Dealer Network.

As for the satnav and Bluetooth, get them to investigate and see whether they are covered too. I got my MMI updated under warranty because the map was freezing on the screen.

The taillight will definitely be covered as they're a known/common problem on the saloon so they should replace them FOC.

I have never had to pay anything in advance of them looking at it as the warranty covers the diagnostics too so you should ask them why they are charging the fee.

I wonder myself why I have to pay for investigation. Moreover, how they will prove that is because of my driving? Yes, I know it will be easyfor them to say that is because of my driving. Can you pls tell me if u know agood Audi dealer in London where I can fix this problem? In addition, does uknow if the servicing is under warranty or u have to pay for it. Tks for youranswer

Not sure why you're being charged but see anyway if you choose to go visit them. They probably will say its your driving style but if they investigate and find something warranty will cover then they wont, they aint that bad!

Not sure of anywhere in London sorry 'cos I'm from N.Ireland but I'm sure some local will be along soon Servicing you have to pay for unfortunately, my 48,000 mile service was £738 only because I needed brake discs and it was a major service.
