Ok i will try and make this short

    I have a A6 3.0 tdi quattro sline 06.

Today i fitted a new centre console fascia, to do this i had to remove the mmi unit, unplug it all and then re fit the new fascia, everything went great, I THOUGHT !!!!!!!!

Half way though you need to switch the ignition on so you can move the gear stick into D so you can take the console unit out completly, when doing this i noticed my electronic handbrake light came on and i heard the brake lock on, never thought anything of it until i refitted everything, plugged the mmi back in, now i have a message saying "parking brake malfunction"

So any ideas guys could it be a fuse, or the unit itself...?

    Any feedback is welcome

    cheers Anth

Ideally you would Need a fault code scan to see if the system has logged anything in the computer.

Was it working fine before you changed it? Does it still function?

yes everything was fine before, but now it will not function at all.

I have just had it back to the dealers last week and gave it a clean bill of health.

So it must have something to do with what i have just done today.
