I recently took delivery of a brand spanking new Audi A4 Technik 2.0TDIe...(136 bhp)

    My last 3 cars were:
    BMW 520d 2.0SE (170 bhp)
    Mercedes Benz C220cdi (165bhp)?
    Mazda 6 TS2 (120 bhp)?

For sheer driver fun, this car is fantastic.
It doesn't quite have the sheer grunt of the Beemer, but it reminds me of a bull racing a rabbit.
It seems to be quick without the same power if that makes sense.

The feel of the car (being FWD) took some getting used to but the turn in is sharp and responsive.
I have had a good response on a straight line run with the expected top speed shall we say (in case our friends in blue are reading!!!)
The MMI totally walks all over the BMW i-drive system. It took a couple of days to understand how it worked totally and I can't fault it. The Media search for tracks, the fast fwd function, the live info on DAB radio, the TP travel function....and the sound quality are all brilliant.

The Stop/Start whilst taking some getting used to, eventually makes you feel like you're doing your bit to save the planet.
Although it can be really annoying when you are in stop start M1/M25 traffic....but you can switch it off I suppose.

The car is just fantastic....I love it!!!
Never will I buy a Beemer again, and that's before I've even had the benefit of being able to actually get anywhere in the snow in the winter!!!
Awaiting a 2.0TDIe Technik following 3 years of paying through the nose for tax, parts, labour and that friggin' RWD in the snow on a 520d...
Can't wait to join the Audi club

Nice one glad to hear - makes me less worries about a possible step down in power in the future when it just gets too expensive to run this one.

I still get tempted to go and try a bmw but the staff in my local really put me off! - really like the look of the new 5 but then i like the look of the new a6 even better:P

The only price realistic non-VAG car that would tempt me out of the A4 at the moment is the facelifted C-Class estate, lots of kit as standard on the Sport and the interior quality is tons better than before, dare I say it on a par with Audi- never been to a BMW dealership but the Mercedes staff in Norwich were very helpful, even when they knew I was just taking a nosey about
2007 MK5 Golf GT TDI 140ps Diamond Black
    2004 A4 Avant S-Line 1.8T 190ps Avus Silver w/black optics
1997 MK3 Golf GTI 16v Anniversary Diamond Black- now gone!

Drove past the new Merc premises last weekend and nearly popped in for nose, one he'll of an investment.

From another old BMW owner who turned to Audi 5 years ago, I am sure you will enjoy the new car.

    Pitch
HIS - XC90 D5 R Design (sorry, had to be done)
    TOY - 2001 Westfield 2.1 SEW,172bhp SOLD TO MY BROTHER, I needed a PANERAI.
HERS - 'R' New 7spd DSG and 310 rampant ones. 4.2 off the mark will do nicely

I have the TDI 143 which I love also. Tend not to use the start-stop much.

Havent had a beemer for a good few years now, but I'm not sad as now they look a bit depressing compared to the newer Audis.

No offence to A4 B7 drivers, but that is what I had last, and the B8 is frankly in another galaxy in every respect ...
