    I have a 2001 passat se tdi and if i rest my foot on the clutch and brake pedals at the sane time there is some movement (play) between the two is there a way to fix this and what do I need

    You need to get that inspected for any loose fastenings.

    I work on 3B Passats all day long and I have never seen a pedal box problem. PM me your chassis number if you don't mind.

    I have same problem with 51 plate Se tdi 130 -was there any resolution to this issue?

    Mines The Same Too. 53 Plate Tdi Se. Doesnt Seem To Be Causing Any Problems Though.

    i swear that my brake pedal is the problem regarding the brakes locking on and me sitting in the middle of the road, unable to move anywhere until i manage to release the pedal with a big sounding "click" When i have had to carry out a hard stop.
    crasher, have you had this fault before 51 plate 130 BHP sport?

    Many times. It is becoming a huge problem with the A4, A6 and Passat due to the plenum chamber under the windscreen filling up with water. What happens is the servo can have a very tiny air leak and so if it sits in water it sucks water into the servo which then goes rusty inside. Have you had water ingress problems?

    My 2002 model B5 has been like that from new. Never worried me.
