Hope they start to do exchange ones so there's less delay. I feel like I'm driving a timebomb!

from the advert, they are selling new items, not refurbed ones. the advert looks to me like it is written very badly. the wording reminds me of a chinese ebay advert that is trying too hard to be british.
after reading it a few times, i would say that someone in china has set up making copies of the siemens injectors. they have gathered the information needed to realise there is a huge market, got hold of an old injector to copy, and are soon going to be knocking them out really cheaply and for a huge profit.

Thanks for looking at the link folks. I tend to agree there is something a bit dodgy with the English. I doubt the Chinese connection but maybe a continental outfit (delivery 3-4days?).

I don't buy the thing about copying Seimens injectors. They would cost millions to tool up and there simply isn't a big enough market from us poor suckers who have a 170 PD.

How about the possibility that these are surplus early injectors from VW/Siemens stock which were manufactured before the improved version came out in 2007/8? Presumably they were worthless as new warranteed parts.
The refurb service could simply be to swap your old one for a new one.

Zollaf - "from the advert, they are selling new items, not refurbed ones." click the "Volkswagen Group Diesel Injectors" part of the home page.

    I don't get this..
This is NOT cheaper than a genuine Audi supplied part from your dealer.

03G130073D - This is NOT an Audi fitment anyway.. Only fits VW Passat.
Now changed part number to 03G130073SX AND REDUCED IN PRICE to £345.24 +vat (£405.65inc) from VW for any Passat drivers out there.

03G130073M - This is the 170ps BRD engined version in the A4 (ando other model 170s). This has changed to part number also, to 03G130073TX and is also reduced in price to £345.24 + vat (£405.65inc) from VW/ Audi/Seat/Skoda/TPS.
Its backed by a 2 year unlimited mileage warranty to boot.
Ok its still £400, but better than £450 from someone nobody has ever used before. If you don't send them your old injector, your out another £50 on top.

140 Tdi owners. The injector you require is not listed on this site. (its not the D version). The part number for 98% of A4 140 tdi should be 03G130073Gx. Not good news this one, as they are still £474.81 + vat (£557.90inc) from Audi.
Owners with the 8valve 2.0tdi 140 (engine code BPW) are the exception as the part number for the injector is 038130079QX

Hope that shines a little light on the situation.

    2006 A4 saloon 2.0T S-Line Special Edition.
Mauritius Blue - Xenons, Bose, Heated Valcona, Cruise, Colour DIS, Ipod, Revo. Big Smile.

I am interested to read this as I was quoted at least £550 exchange by audi this January. That's quite a reduction!
