Oil Leak.....Maybe Turbo Oil Line

My machine (2003 A6 1.9td AWX Avant) is shedding some oil from offside front. Making a mess on the road!

I know it's not the intercooler pipes, having dealt with that issue before. Looking from above the engine everything looks dry, underneath though is soaked with oil and I cannot see where it's coming from!

I've had the car on a mates lift, heavily degreased the area so it was really clean, and watched while the engine was running for several minutes and could not see any spray/mist of oil. New oil was seeping though.

The only point I seem to be able to narrow it down to is the turbo oil return line. My question: is the oil return line subject to failure on these?

Check the banjo joint feed to the turbo. The return line is of the scavenge type so there is no pressure unless you have a breather blockage. Regards Peter
