    Evening everyone.
i have been looking for a B6 estate this weekend, seen a lot of rubbish!! dents scrapes and wanting good money.

then tonight saw this one http://www.loot.com/advert/vw-passat...008-08/5827625

seems like it could be too good to be true, i was hoping someone on here would have seen it or know of it. i am going to contact the owner and arrange to see it this week.

it just looks better condition than some i have seen for the same money and more today, been to see on in Altrincham this afternoon there was only one photo of the front when i got there it had a large scratch all down one side and it was £500 more.

thanks in advance for any help

Looks ok from pics. I take it it's a private sale?

If so i'd want price to be in four figures.

I too had a look at that one looks very nice, from what i have seen for sale here the price is not so bad. i went to look at one yesterday in Preston for a grand more that that and i walked away it was dirty and inside !!!... well i felt sick at the smell of old Dog. this was a dealer not VW a third party backstreet dealer. i stumbled on a site last friday it was a google sites address for Cherished Vw Cars but i cannot find it again. they have some great cars listed, they are a small family business but they offer 12 months VW warranty with all their cars. iwill have a root round and see if i can find the address later when i get home.

all the good (57) and (08)'s i have looked at have been upwards from £11,000 and from what i have seen on the VW used car finder that is over a grand less than they are doing, an (08) is what i am looking for just 3 years newer than the current motor lets not mention ford on here ehh.

my advice on that motor would be go have a good look and if it is as good as the photos make him an offer you may be surprised it seems to be a buyers market, but remember you only get what you pay for, or if you pay peanuts you get monkeys!

I was thinking of putting mine up for sale for £9,995, but having seen these think it could be worth more, considering it comes with a 2nd set of wheels with winter tyres.

    Hi all
found that site i was looking for yesterday dod a seach in my history files, it was there https://sites.google.com/site/cherishedvwcars/home not a very technical site but i was quite impressed with the savings on the VW Dealer prices. last week there was an estate on their site selling for £12299 looking on the site tonight it has sold so they must have a good client base or good reputation to sell so fast these days. maybe it is the offer of the 12 month warranty??.

Being advertised for a price and selling for it are 2 different things though!

Had a day off today, lined up four estates to go and look at. but when i got to each one i was met with "another viewer has made an offer" and the fourth one was actually SOLD when i got there. all four were excellent condition, between 30k and 55k on the clock. priced from £11,500 to £12,790 so it looks like private sales are picking up.

made an appointment tonight to see a silver one listed on the site i posted last night, the car looks good and the 12 month warranty is a bonus. goin to see it on Friday afternoon after work. so lets hope it is not sold when i get there.
