I do understand the positive and negative offset of a wheel but does the width (J) of any wheel come into the equation.
The allroad offset is 15-25 (04) and that is with a 7.5 J wheel, the alloys I have at the moment are 25 et and are 8.5 J . I have no problems running this wheel .
The wheels I have just bought but not received yet, are 43 et and 8 J.
I dont mind if I have to get spacers but if there is no rubbing on suspension parts or arches do I really need them ?
ps I have read the wheel and tyre bible.
    thanks.

The wheels will probably hit the calipers. My Allroad came fitted with Audi TT wheels which I think were ET45, but I went back to fitting original Allroad alloys.

I have a full set of 20mm spacers and studs with security bolts if you're interested, just email me.

    Thanks for the reply,
I never thought about the calipers, as for the spacers, if they are hubcentric I will give you a shout. My brother will be bringing the wheels down to me in a couple of weeks, I will then see how they fit.
