    Hi

Hope anyone can help. I've got a vw passat 2002 and the alarm keeps going off. It's now 1230 am and i going through the manual desperatly tryng to turn the thing off without leaving the doors unlocked.

Is there a fuse that i can remove that just turns off the alarm but not the other features.

    Thanks

    Tosh1

    Hello, still awake? lol

Theres a siren mounted beside the battery, you can disconnect that until you sort-out whats
triggering the alarm. It might be the rechargeable batteries in the said siren that need renewed,
they only have a certain life-span of X amount of charging cycles, and when they die the alarm
system thinks that someone is fiddling with it.

    Regards
    Jim

fuse 14 is the one to remove, on the side of the dash with the drivers door open

The cause could be the CCM so check under the passenger carpet for damp, or a dodgy switch in a door, boot or bonnet. good luck there is plenty of advice on here if you search for alarm or ccm problems.

I have got the same problem with my 2001 passat. You can lock the car, without the alarm, by reaching through the passenger door and pressing the internal locking rocker switch.
This is a job for the front seat passenger, they love doing it!

Ude 65, are you sure that fuse 14 will cure the problem?

removing the fuse stops the alarm going off, but you still need to find the fault.

I have noticed that my passenger side carpet is soaking wet. My alarm has been going off but I have been using the passenger side door to close this. Could somebody please place a link on this forum to where I can look.

    Thank you

Hi guys, I know this is an old thread but I am having the same problem, my alarm is going off randomly and I would like to disable it. I tried to find fuse 14 in the fuse dashboard in the side of the driver and I couldn't find that number. My Wolkswagen model is a Passat Station Wagon 2002. Any ideas where I can find that fuse? I tried everything to disable the alarm but nothing works, help!!!

    Many thanks for your help!

As mentioned above.........is your passenger side carpet wet? Also check plenium chamber (where your battery is) for standing water. If answer to either is yes then search on here for CCM problems and cures.
