Drop the caps bro... someone might reply.

    - Anything 2.5 or above ought to be auto and not manual.
    ... hope.

I think your caps button has got stuck on but anyway.

If you're thinking of going for a 2.7 you may aswell go for a 3.0tdi as you gain quattro and more power

I haven't had a dpf issue so I cant comment and as I have an automatic I can't comment on the clutches. Would you be interested in auto as it suits the big V6's well.

So far my quattro has been fine and I've seen A6's with 150k with no reported problems with the drivetrain so generally it's OK.

No satnav as standard but if youre looking for it get the colour DVD version as the monochrome system is not very good and only provides basic commands.

The highest ever mpg I've saw on my 3.0tdi is 41mpg on a 200 mile journey and around the town it's usually mid twenties and on a normal long journey it's about 35-41.

Also on the saloon look out for cloudy rear light lenses as it's a common fault they let water in and on the Avant, check the rear washer hose as it can leak and cause havoc with the electrics in the boot.

Full service history is a must too.
