    Hello guys,

I have a strange noise coming from the front when turning to the right – I can feel it on the steering wheel - it is very quick (less then second) – its like something seizing …

It happens only in situation that I reverse from driveway, turning wheels to the right and slowly drive away.

It never happened when stationary turning wheels right or left.

    Any idea ?

    I have enough power fluid.

So if I drive over 70mph steering wheel is little bit shaking, shaking increase with the speed. Tyres were balanced last Saturday (shaking was there before balancing tyres)....
So I have a strange noice and shaking ...any idea?

    You could have one of a million issues, but have a good look at the following;
tyre condition, inside walls wearing can make a wheel jump
wheel bolt, tension and correct seating ( not taking the pi-- , but it has been known )
    shocker condition
    spring condition
all ball joints, a dry or worn joint will give a jump and allow excessive movement at speed
    all link bar/joints
    antiroll bar bushes
    any other joints or bushes
Another thing to think about is the abs system, this can make a clonk just after start up and move off, something to do with the system priming or charging , not something I know sod all about but my 80 coupe used to do it as I reversed out of my space at work and I thought the brake pedal was faulty
Do these models have a strut top bearing at the top of the suspension assembly, where it fixes into the inner wheel arch/turret top.
Have a good look at anything which has to move and make sure there is no abnormal movement, you should see anything bad quite easily
    Good luck pal

Have done it yesterday, driven forward/backward - no sound at all, assuming that CV joints are still fine, it must be some other part of front suspension...

If its not speed related I would look at the springs see if there's any cracking especially at the top otherwise its the long list as previously stated.

I have another thread where I posted about snapped wheel bolt - can't remove it. So one bolt head is missing on FR wheel - could it be a reason of steering wheel shake at high speed ?

I have checked suspension yesterday, didn't find any movements, spring are not broken. The only one thing - tie rod ends, when I turned them to left or right - there was metal knock, but there wasn't any movement to the sides...are they bad ?

My tie rod ends have similar sound when turning as on this video:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UKFFuCpnmj8
Could it be a reason of steering shaking / voice when turning steering to the right?

Theoretically a bolt head missing could throw your balance out a bit and thus give a bit of wobble, but if yor joints are making sounds like the one in the youtube video they are dry and therefore wearing.
Imagine how much movement that would be when the car is doing 50 mph and therefore how it would sound. Plus that sound in the video is from an " unloaded " rod, so with the car sat on the road the noise would sound different.
I would still suspect all ball joints and a possibly dry c/v joint, are the c/v rubber boots in good condition?
Can you film a video of your car showing its fault? this may help us to help you
