Polo ECU / Remap 1.9 tdi

Hi,

I'm new to this site and VW's so forgive the probably easy question.

I've just bought a flood damaged 2003 Polo 1.9 tdi PD 100 with a atd engine - ( Golf )

Ive stripped the engine down and replaced the parts damaged by the previous owner trying to run the car on a mixture of diesel - air and water ( Two conrods ) and the car is now running fine.
I've bought this car to keep for a while and am now looking at upgrading it a little. It seems that ecu upgrades are the way forward and ive seen that " remap boxes " are available on ebay from £19.99 but i'm just a little dubious of using something so cheap.
Does anyone have any experiance in this area and could suggest a good reliable remap company for the VW system ? i'm mainly after a tourque increase and would be happy paying up to the £200 mark.

There are some site sponsors on here who do remaps. Shark Performance I think? I've heard good things about remapping the 1.9 TDI though.
