Tested me out last year when the timing belt snapped at 180k on the way to get the ruddy thing changed. Still cleaned valve seats etc & still going strong.

Couldn't resist adding this as I'm about to say goodbye to it next weekend as I trade it in for a diesel A4.

VW passat 2.3l v5 petrol, 1999 (V reg in silver) - 200,050 miles and sailed its MOT, and still returning 30mpg on its 100 mile a day commute.

No doubt it will be coming to an auction site soon

I had a 51plate 406 Exec 2.0 bought at 38k sold two and half years later with 146k, thanks Walmsleys Yorkshire.

Bought a month ago a V plate Passat 1.8T SE with 187k now on 191k FSH, nearly immac condition. Don't usally keeps cars at mo more than a couple of months, this one hopefully get to 250k, or bang.
