Evening guys I have a wierd issue with my lights.

This evening I started my car to go to work and the indicator lights would not work. I put on my hazord lights and they started to flash fine so I turned them off tested the indicators and they worked fine again.

I have left the car in the car park the indicators now keep flashing when the car is locked (the alarm is not going off). When I push the hazard light button to switch them off the headlights on the car come on and all the internal lights (like the dash light) go off for a second and then the hazards stop flashing.
This is ok for a minute or two however then just keeps happening again.

Any quick fixes I could try tonight?

The only recent work I have had done is to install LED sidelights with resistors... Not sure if this is linked as they have been working fine.

Sounds like it may be a dodgy hazzard/indicator relay (which is the hazzard switch as its all one unit).

    But im not 100%.

I've done a bit of searching and it seems to be a common fault on Audi & VW cars.

I also found this old post: https://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/s...ndicator-fault
I did get the car washed this morning and did find a bit of water in the driver footwell (never ever happened before).

I have also just checked everything and the internal lights in the car dont come on when you open the doors but do come on when you press the on button.
Also when turning the hazzard light off all the interal lights including the dash go out for a seccond.
Also my boot will not open and lastly the electric windows have all stopped working... I have checked the fuses and they seem to be fine.

I have read other pages where it might be a fault with the "Comfort Pack" in the car as I know the above problems are all on the same fuse... I have tried taking out the indicator fuse which stops the indicator stalk from working but the hazzords will still blink!

I have resulted in disconnecting the battery until I finish work... Will take it to an Audi specalist in the morning and hopefully they will be able to investigate it first thing.
